My name is Jonathan - the proprietor for Gift of Song Artist Services. I am a native of beautiful Canada and the proud husband and father to the greatest gifts on earth. My young ladies are a primary source of my inspiration as an international vocal recording soloist and pianist, musician collaborator and mentor, freelance writer and content developer. I have physically and virtually reached millions from pulpits to platforms, appealing and adapting to an all-embracing purview of listeners. My vocal methodology has its own clarity, range and cadence - with a breadth of genre application. In the 42 years of personal experience in solo and ensemble musicality, including 10 years of piano study with Canada's Royal Conservatory, and 35 years of voice - sharing more than songs in themselves became of great interest. My work harbors its own philosophy and that is this:  As an upfront artist, I get a glimpse of the humanity in front of me and all that smiles and tears resident in any one person’s journey. The response is telling. Everyone suffers and celebrates, and in that truth, I steward this work with a disposition of absolute authenticity. Living, loving, and learning all depend on light. I believe art is just that. The communication gifts of song and speech are capacitated to foster greater hope, healing, harmony, help, and honor in society. The right art is not about gain and glory, it’s about giving and guidance. Music is something I use to convey what words alone never will, adding new dimension to life. The arts are not just delivered and decorative, they are passed on. Countless would-be artists will come and carry on the hope, inspiration, healing, and edification to the broader world community. Neuroscience supports that there is no artistic medium that reaches more areas of the brain than song. Whereas it is true that music is science, singing is art. The same applies to speech. All utilize principles of mathematics and logic, married to creative thinking and inspiration. In my personal and professional life, the work must carry a purpose beyond simply utilitarian, aesthetic or entertainment purposes. Though my business is transactional, it’s equally relational. Sometimes a single melody with or without lyrics can be as profound as an entire sermon. Sometimes a celebrated events most visceral moment is during a song or speech. Sometimes the music has the most to say between the notes. These and many more are simple artistic truths. Be it a celebratory, religious or ceremonial occasion, the gift of song is a harbor for the living testimony of our triumphs and trials.
